Subject: Application for Setting up a Canteen
Sir,
With due respect and submission, I, on behalf of the students of your college, beg to state that a renowned college like ours does not have a canteen. We regret that in the absence of a canteen on our campus, we are to have food from the roadside tea stalls and restaurants. Our college begins at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. We get a half-an-hour break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm for our tiffin. As a result, students who come from remote parts of the city cannot go to their houses for having their food. Therefore, they are compelled to go to these nearby tea stalls and restaurants which serve unhygienic, oily, and spicy foods which are very harmful to our health. We very often suffer from vomiting, indigestion, headache, etc. We all desperately need a canteen where we can have cheap and healthy food which can help us concentrate on the classes properly.
