I was highly happy to receive your email in which you expressed your eagerness to know about the last sports day at my college. I also feel very glad to let you know about the event our college arranged at our college campus on 13th October in a befitting manner in a large pandal.
On this occasion, our college campus was decorated with flowers, colorful papers, banners, and festoons. The campus was also adorned with the presence of students, teachers, guardians, and noble personals of the locality. Our honorable education minister who was the chief guest and our respected principal sir who presided over the event joined the event which began at 11 am with the recitation from the sacred book. Then some students paraded the ground before lilting the Olympic torch. Afterward, our college students took part in different events. Athletics, discus throwing, long jump, high jump, skipping, and sack race were some of the events. I took part in three events: athletics, high and long jump. The games continued until 4:30 pm. Then, our honorable sports minister gave a valuable speech that was highly inspirational and pioneering.
The prize-giving ceremony began at 5 pm. Getting the results from some of the teachers who were the judges of the events, our respected principal sir uttered the names of the winners who received trophies from our honorable sports minister. You will be very happy to know that I secured the first position in the high jump and athletics.
