Once a fox was desperately searching for food in a jungle because he was too hungry. While roaming around the jungle, suddenly he came across a vineyard which was full of ripe grapes.

Seeing the ripe tempting grapes on the branches, saliva came to his mouth. "I'm going to have a good feast today", he murmured. Immediately, he jumped to reach a bunch of grapes, but he failed to reach it. However, he kept jumping over and over again, but all his efforts came in vain. The bunches of grapes were too high for him to reach. Feeling tired and disappointed he took a rest for a while.

Bringing all his determination and effort, he again started jumping to reach the tempting grapes, but the bunches of grapes were hanging so high that he had nothing to do except quit the place feeling dejected and frustrated.

He realized that there was no chance of hope left for him to have such appetizing grapes, and so he murmured to console and calm himself: "grapes may be sour; I had better look for a better meal."
