A rickshaw puller is a poor person. He may own or may not own a rickshaw. If he does not own a rickshaw, he hires it and pulls it to earn his livelihood. He earns very little. In fact, he lives hand to mouth. If he cannot earn due to his sickness or rough weather, his family starves. though a rickshaw puller earns his livelihood in a fair way, he is looked down upon by others because of his simple life. When a rickshaw puller earns more than his regular price, his joys know no bounds. However, sometimes, he is rebuked bitterly due to his demand for more fare. The exchange of hot words is also noticed on account of the demand for the fare. Even the rickshaw puller may be slapped or punched in response to his argument with the passenger. As a rickshaw puller is a poor person, people in our society hardly show respect towards a rickshaw puller. Therefore, in maximum time, a rickshaw puller has to accept verbal or physical torture. Really, a rickshaw puller may be a poor person, but he is a human being; he has his family he needs to feed. moreover, he is not a criminal. He earns his means of livelihood by providing hard labor; he earns his livelihood by serving others in the society. Therefore, they also deserve to live like a human.
