Women in a country need to be empowered. No nation can prosper without empowering women. Women in our country are in a frustrating situation, both in our conception and in the real world. Many parents in our country do not regard the birth of a girl as a happy event. They think that a girl comes to add the suffering of her parents. They hardly think of proper education for their daughters. According to them, sending a daughter to school means mere wastage of time. Finding a husband even before the physical and mental maturation for their daughter is what they think. They have been nourishing a concept for ages: a daughter is born to be a wife, mother, and homemaker. This conception has confined many women to the four walls. They cook, wash clothes and dishes, take care of husbands and children. This is how they become the caretakers of their houses. This conception of limiting the women's world both in our conception and in the real world should be changed. We should keep in mind that women are also human beings; we should keep in mind that both men and women are equally important in our society. Half of our total population are women. How can you imagine a developed country keeping half of its population in darkness? If we look at the world, we will see that a woman can do what a man does. Think about our prime minister who is efficiently running the country. Therefore, if they get enough opportunity their power, genius, and capacities will bloom fully. So, we should empower our women. We can do it by ensuring proper education, by making ordinary people conscious of the importance of empowering a female child, and by helping poor children financially. An educated woman can not only serve a family efficiently but also lead her children to good citizens. Moreover, she can contribute to the economy of the country.
