traffic jam paragraph

A traffic jam happens when a long line of vehicles on roads cannot move or move very slowly. Nowadays, traffic jam has become a very common phenomenon in Dhaka. In fact, traffic jam has become one of the topics of concern for the dwellers of the city, because it is causing much harm to them in many ways. It is causing harm to the economy. Thousands of people who are supposed to spend their productive time in their workplaces are spending hours unproductively getting stuck on the road. It is causing harm to our education by keeping teachers and students stuck on the road. It has made the life of the dwellers painful. Due to traffic jams, many patients die lying in the ambulance because they cannot reach the hospital in time. There are many reasons behind traffic jams. The first reason is the overpopulation of the city. More than five thousand people live per square kilometer in the city. As a result, the number of vehicles is increasing day by day, but roads are not increasing in proportion to their demand. Secondly, the maximum number of our roads is narrow and broken. Thirdly, maximum drivers lack traffic knowledge which leads them to violate traffic rules now and then, causing traffic jams. Fourthly, the lack of a sufficient number of traffic police causes the disordered movement of vehicles, causing the traffic jam. Finally, the existence of slow vehicles such as rickshaws, too many private cars, unfit vehicles, immature drivers, and lack of awareness among the common people are also responsible for traffic jams. Our existing government is trying heart and soul to give the dwellers relief from the pang and pain of the traffic jams. The continuous construction of the flyover bridges, the project of the construction of metro rail, and the projects of some expressways are thought to be highly effective to remove the jams to a great extent. Besides, the government needs to ban unfit vehicles, punish unlicensed drivers, raise awareness among the common mass, and ensure strict traffic laws.
