Lara had a fear of the ocean, yet here she was out in this boat with nothing but deep blue water surrounding her. Her friends had convinced her to go snorkeling with them on an unforgettable adventure. Anchoring near a highly colored coral reef, Lara's heart seemed to be racing. Everyone else plunged into the water, leaving her alone out on the deck.
With a gulp, Lara knew it was time to face her fear. She put on the mask and flippers and plunged into the water. At first, she felt the panic creeping in, as the waves were around her. Then she looked down and became mesmerized by the colorful fish and coral. The beauty of it all eliminated her fear, and she started to swim, with each stroke feeling a little bit better.
When they swam back to the boat, Lara felt proud. She had overcome her fear and saw another world underwater.
