The chart represents how the number of people living below the poverty line decreased from the year 2000 to 2020. Overall the highest percentage was in 2005, and it accounted for 55%. The lowest percentage of people living below the poverty line was in the year 2020: 20%. The graph shows that 40% of people used to live below the poverty line in 2000. The percentage increased by 15% and reached 55% in 2005. But, we can notice a decreasing trend from 2010 to 2020. In 2010 the percentage made 50%. It was 5% less than the rate in the year 2005. In 2015 there is a decrease of 15% taking the percentage to 35%. The year 2000 experienced another decrease of 15% and the percentage dropped to 20%. The graph reflects that percentage of the people living below the poverty line decreased significantly with the passage of time.
