According to the chart, India came to bat first and scored 182 runs which is a decent total. India started their innings very cautiously. They scored only 13 runs without loss of a wicket from their first 2 overs. They added 14 runs on the scoreboard from the following two overs, but they dropped their first and second wicket at 27 and 51 respectively. As they lost 2 wickets in quick succession, they tried to build the innings cautiously. They reached 55 runs after the end of 8 overs. However, though their third wicket fell in the 10th over when they reached 71 runs, they added 22 runs from the next two overs. Again, after adding 24 runs India lost another wicket in the 14th over. But as they still had 6 wickets in their hands, they continued to accelerate the run rate. At the 18th over their scoreboard was showing 159 runs with the loss of 4 wickets. Finally, they put in a challenging target of 183 runs before England's batsmen. England started their innings with a bang. They capitalized the powerplay properly. They scored 53 runs, but they lost 3 crucial batsmen which put them under pressure. So, they played the next 4 overs carefully and took the scoreboard to 85 runs. However, their innings stumbled as they dropped another couple of wickets in the 12th over and one more wicket in the 14th over. So, their run rate started slowing down, and they managed to score only 121 runs after 16 overs. Finally, their innings had to end in 163 runs. Thus, the Indian win resulted from the Indian batsmen's better performance throughout their innings. Moreover, Indian bowlers also deserve credit because they regularly picked up the wickets.
