Jamalgonj
Dear Sir,
I, on behalf of the inhabitants of Jamalgonj Upazila, would like to draw your attention to the recent flood that has damaged every village in this Upazila. The misery of the people has been the beggar's description. Thousands of people have become homeless. Rooftops, boats, embankment, and premises of schools have been their shelter now. They are leading a subhuman life. Many of them are starving. They are also suffering from pure drinking water. Many communicable diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, dysentery, etc. have already spread out. Their incapability of managing medicine, clothes, and other daily necessaries has made their life pathetic. They are in great need of all the fundamental needs. Government and NGO's relief materials are not good enough to meet the huge need of these suffering people. So, they urgently need emergency relief goods and medical aids.
I, therefore, hope that you would be kind enough to consider the above-mentioned situation and take the measures necessary to meet the need of these affected people.
