WELCOME TO INSIGHT ENGLISH LEARNING DOMAIN (IELD)

Dear Viewers,

We live in a different world which has become very small and turned into a global village. With the advancement of modern science and technology, there has appeared a radical change in the way of learning and teaching English. English is currently considered international language or “lingua franka” as it is spoken and understood all over the world. “It seems to be the case, therefore, that anywhere between 600-700 million people in the world speak English, and of that huge number, a significant minority speak it as second language” (Harmer, 2003: 2). Moreover, English is spoken as a foreign language in more than 100 countries. In fact, in the world of globalization everyone has come to know the importance of English: with the expansion of trade, commerce and new avenues of employments in Business Process Outsourcing and multinational companies, the importance of English has grown greatly. Therefore, people require the requisite skills in English while dealing with different situations in day to day life. The English language is no longer the language of the English people. But today it has become a common language of the people of the whole world. "Every door is filled with gold but it only opens of the golden key" as such the world's store house of knowledge opens its eye only to the people who have the golden key of English language. 

The aim of this page is to discuss about the requisite skills necessary for English proficiency. It aims to create English speaking community among the viewers, be it students or viewers. In maximum colleges in our country, medium of instruction is Bangla. Even, they take English class in Bangla. Therefore, IELD has taken initiative to provide materials of English subject for H.S.C. students or other students in English. IELD has dedicated a space specially for H.S.C. students. This space is dealing with both grammar and writing part.

For general viewers IELD has secured a broad section dealing with grammar and writing part elaborately. 

IELD invites writing from all the viewers. IELD will select best writing before publishing. The main purpose of it is to live in the regime of reading and writing.

You will be happy to know that IELD is very curious about literature. IELD will not only talk about literary tools but also it will publish writings under the category of poetry and prose.

Viewers are requested to go to the main menu and check the notice box regularly for necessary information and direction.
