Sub: Prayer for Taking Proper Steps against Mosquito Menace

Dear Sir,
I on behalf of the inhabitants of Jamalgonj Thana would like to draw your attention to the fact that the mosquito menace has increased to a great extent in our locality. There was heavy rainfall about a couple of weeks back. As a result, water has gotten stuck near the edges of ponds, canals, lakes, and river banks; we can also notice stagnant water on plastic bottles, broken containers, old tires, flower tubs, mud pots, trash cans, gutters, tree holes and bamboo, drums, old shoes, etc. As the concerned authority did not pay any attention to such breeding places of the mosquitoes, Our Thana has been full of mosquitos. The mosquitos are not only attacking, biting, and compelling many people to pass sleepless nights but also spreading malaria, filaria, chikungunya, dengue fever, and different skin diseases in our locality. Many dengue patients have already been admitted to the local hospital. Moreover, a few patients have died. So, the people of our locality have become very scared.
Therefore, the people of your area will remain highly grateful to you if you take the necessary steps to ensure regular cleaning of our locality and regular application of mosquito spray.
